September 15–19, 2025 is National Security Officer Appreciation Week. This national observance honors the security personnel who safeguard schools, stores, banks, concerts, and other community spaces. In Henrico, we will use this opportunity to celebrate our School Security Officers (SSOs). These dedicated professionals play a vital role in creating welcoming environments for students, staff, and families, while demonstrating an unwavering commitment to keeping our schools safe.
