We will be having a Pumpkin Book Character Contest this October! 

Here are the details.

• This year’s pumpkins will be designed and decorated at home as a family project for those who would like to participate. Be creative and have fun!

• Pumpkin Characters will be displayed in classrooms and at the PTA Trunk or Treat event.

• Contest Rules:

  • Pumpkins should represent a favorite book character.  

  • No carved pumpkins.

  • Pumpkins may be decorated with markers or acrylic paint. Yarn, construction paper, feathers, pipe cleaners, etc., may be used to decorate the pumpkin. Items can be attached using craft glue or tape.

  • A sign or picture of the book character should accompany the pumpkin.

• Voting:

  • Classes will vote for their favorites. 

  • Ribbons will be given for first, second and third place! 

       Dates to Remember:

October 21st: Decorated pumpkins brought to school for display in classrooms. Pictures will be taken.

October 22nd - 23rd: Voting. 

October 23rd: Pumpkin winners announced during dismissal announcements. 

October 24th: All pumpkins displayed at Trunk or Treat. Students may take their pumpkins home from the event.

October 26th: Remaining pumpkins sent home with students.

October 27th: Disposal of any leftovers.
